Hämeenlinnan Lentopallokerho thanks all its friends, fans, and followers for their support during the exceptional and extremely difficult year 2020. We are all one big volleyball-family in supporting each other, working together in achieving best possible results. Anyhow, the PLAYERS and COACHES are in the center of all our operations – and thus they deserve our special thanks. Also, let’s not forget our cooperation partners; their support has been extremely valuable during the difficult times.

 

     LENTISKERHO WILL NOT GIVE UP EASILY!

  In the spring, when the Corona pandemic nearly paralyzed the world, it also hit Lentiskerho. On 12 of March the whole fine-tuned team was all charged-up and heading for a crucial game at Pihtipudas, when the news reached us: all women volleyball semifinals are cancelled. So, about 20 kilometers from Pihtipudas, our bus had to turn back towards Hämeenlinna. The ride home was gloomy and full of tears. Future looked dark. Our team had worked tremendously hard and we were ready for the final games in the spring. Ready for achieving the best rewards for our work and commitment.

 

  Still, Lentiskerho will not give up. We avoided the feelings of despair and numbness and started developing the new. MATTEO PENTASSUGLIA, our Head Coach – with the support of Lentiskerho managements and partners – started building a new team for the coming season. And soon several new, motivated, success-hungry young players joined our team. We could believe on the success again.

 

    MID-SEASON – AND WE ARE RIGHT ON TRACK

  Lentiskerho started the season with losing some games but these defeats could not bring us down. We had gained a strong belief in our own doing, working and training hard, doing it our own way. And it paid off rathere quickly: the few losses were followed by a long winning streak. Now we are ready to play for our place in the Finnish volleyball winners. Ready for the Bright Lights.

  Hämeenlinnan Lentopallokerho has worked had, filled the corona-break with heavy training – but always with the idea: Health comes first. Avoid unnecessary risks.

  We are ready for playing tough volleyball! Ready for success. You, our fans and audience in the games, are very important to us. We all hope you will come and see us and our games during the Spring. We miss you.
